Facial Treatments

Honey believes that being sweet to yourself begins with taking care of your skin, body, and mind. Because of this, we are devoted to corrective skincare treatments with a purpose. Every facial treatment begins with a consultation to discuss your skincare needs and concerns and to allow our esthetician to get to know your skin history and goals. Your esthetician will craft a specialized treatment plan that includes customized home regimens, product recommendations, and guidance on how to integrate them to your existing skincare routine. By partnering together with your provider, we are confident you’ll see and love the changes to your skin.

Skin Peel Guidelines

  • Pre-treating is an important step in the peel process and is highly recommended, especially for medium-depth peels. Pre-treating helps boost cell-turnover to support better results and also provides protection through ensuring adequate hydration to prevent the peel from penetrating deeper than desired.

  • Pre-Treatment can occur at home through the use of recommended products daily 2-4 weeks in advance of the scheduled peel or with an in-salon facial treatment. Have questions about what your pre-treatment should look like? Send us an email to contact@honeyskinandbodybar.com. One of our sweet staff members will get back with you shortly!

  • Post-Care is vital to the success of your peel! For light and medium depth peels, sun avoidance and protection at all times is very important. Honey’s post peel care kits are highly recommended and available for sale for all light peels. For medium-depth peels, the post-care kit is required and included with the price of the peel.

  • In addition to the pre and post treatment Skin Peel guidance, general Facial Treatment Guidelines should also be followed as detailed below.

Clients with the following conditions should not receive a peel: Hypersensitivity or anyone highly allergic, dry, dehydrated skin or compromised lipid barrier, Accutane within the past year, glycolic or salicylic acid within the past week, pregnant or nursing, herpetic breakout, open wounds or lesions, Retin-A or Renova within the past week.

Medications & Skin Care

  •   Accutane (Isotretinoin): Must be discontinued for at least 6 months prior to treatment.

    •  Hydroquinone

Medications & Pain Control

  •  • Avoid anti-inflammatory medications (ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil) for 7 days post-procedure.

     • Do not ice, as it may interfere with collagen formation.

    • Tylenol may be used for discomfort if needed.

     Sun Protection

     • Avoid intentional sun exposure and tanning for 2 weeks.

    • After 24 hours, apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily.

    • Wear a hat and reapply sunscreen every 2 hours when outdoors.
